Add TradingMCP to your AI app

Claude and Cursor take a one-click link; the other apps need a few steps. When an app asks you to sign in, use the email you subscribed with. TradingMCP only reads market data: it never connects to a broker or exchange account.

Add to Claude
  1. The button opens Claude with TradingMCP filled in. Claude notes that the connector came from a link: check that the URL is https://mcp.tradingmcp.ai/mcp and click Continue.
  2. When the TradingMCP page opens, sign in with the email you subscribed with (Google, or a sign-in link by email) and choose Allow. If it doesn’t open by itself, click Connect next to TradingMCP.
  3. Start a chat and ask: “Give me today’s market brief.”

Works on every Claude plan, including free. The connector also shows up in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.

Add to Cursor
  1. Your browser asks to open Cursor, then Cursor asks to install TradingMCP. Confirm both.
  2. When the TradingMCP page opens, sign in with the email you subscribed with (Google, or a sign-in link by email) and choose Allow. If it doesn’t, click Connect next to tradingmcp in Cursor’s MCP settings.
  3. Ask in Agent mode; Ask mode doesn’t call tools.

By hand instead: add {"mcpServers": {"tradingmcp": {"url": "https://mcp.tradingmcp.ai/mcp"}}} to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

ChatGPT takes custom connectors in Developer mode, with ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Business. You need your private link from the dashboard.

  1. Settings → Apps → Advanced → turn on Developer mode.
  2. Connectors → Create: name it TradingMCP, paste your private link as the server URL and choose No authentication.

ChatGPT warns about every custom connector. TradingMCP only reads market data: it can’t trade, move money or change your account.

  1. Open grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom.
  2. Name it TradingMCP and enter https://mcp.tradingmcp.ai/mcp as the URL.
  3. When the TradingMCP page opens (allow pop-ups from grok.com if your browser blocks it), sign in with the email you subscribed with (Google, or a sign-in link by email) and choose Allow.
  1. In a Grok Bot chat, send: Add a custom MCP server called TradingMCP at https://mcp.tradingmcp.ai/mcp
  2. Use the connect card it shows: when the TradingMCP page opens, sign in with the email you subscribed with (Google, or a sign-in link by email) and choose Allow.

Or start from the Market Brief bot: add it to Grok Bot and connect TradingMCP when it asks.

With your private link from the dashboard, run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http tradingmcp "<your link>"

Then type /mcp in Claude Code to see it connected.

Any app that can add a remote MCP server works: VS Code with Copilot, Cline, Windsurf, Zed and others. Paste your private link from the dashboard; if the app asks for a transport, pick HTTP (streamable).

No plan yet? Pro is $9 a month, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. See plans. You can also connect first: TradingMCP asks you to pick a plan the first time you use it.
